bubinga5 Posted November 19, 2014 Share Posted November 19, 2014 I have a MacBook Pro plugged into an Audio Box USB by Presonus. The problem is it just doesn't work all the time.. As in the Mac will recognise it now and again straight away, any other time i have to sit plugging it in, then unplugging it, then plugging it in again, the around around i go.. then out of the blue it will recognise it.. I'm trying to learn songs for a band at the moment and this is driving me f***ing insane.!! does anyone have this combo of Mac and Interface.? thing is I've got no idea where the problem is coming from..??? most likely the interface but why would it work at all if it was faulty.. i was thinking maybe a bad usb connection, but without buying a new Interface how the hell do i know.? please any help is appreciated.. the thing is its not like i can take it to Apple, or take it to a specialist shop of any kind.. All I can recommend is that you adopt the same approach that worked for me, that is - in your case anyway - entering 'problem [color=#282828]MacBook Pro plugged into an Audio Box USB by Presonus' and searching through all of the crap threads from various forums until you find one that has the solution. I'm confident that you won't be the first person to experience this particular problem, and one way or another every instance of it will find its way online. One thing I have found to my annoyance is that the support pages for the devices in question a rarely have the solution. [/quote]thanks for the info Ambient, but my Interface is not a newer VSL unit. its the older AudioBox USB. i did not have the DAW for this interface. I'm running it through Garage Band.
