ZenBasses Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Hey Just a quick one. The balanced output in my fafner 1 is broken. The clip that holds the cable in place was broken off some while ago by a careless band mate and this doesn't make a proper connection anymore. With a possible gig coming up I'd like to replace it. Can anyone advise as to which type of connector I would need? Many thanks Ben Quote

Do you have a photo of the balanced output, so we can see exactly what it is you're needing..? A DI output is normally a 3-pin male xlr, and as such, has no locking catch; that's on the cable side. A photo would clear up any confusion. Any chance..? Quote

Dad3353 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 This looks about right... Switchcraft Xlr ... There are other sources, such as Maplins, I should think. It's not difficult to find or change, but the fixing screws must line up. You're be best having it changed by a tech unless you're familiar with taking your amp apart and soldering/de-soldering. Hope this helps. Quote
