Yesterday confirmed my first impression: it doesn't work live. I'm a big fan of DFA1979 but in studio only. It sounds like sh*t live. Both times I went with people who didn't know them well and felt sorry for them, if you don't know the songs you can't make out most of what the hell he's playing on stage.
