I agree - a whole register lower than I expected...

I really enjoyed that, thanks for posting.
Although her talent is unquestionable, I didn't get on with her debut album at the time. The music was blazing but I found it didn't really say anything (to me). But she was very young. It takes time to live a bit and to be able to translate those rich experiences into your music. She seems to be maturing nicely.
I would buy an album in this vein by her in a heartbeat.

Have you started to think in terms of how long you might have left, rather than how old you are, yet?

It really bothers me at the moment, but all the older people I know don't seem to be worried about it.

Plenty of solo singers + 1 instrument don't do it for me, and often I cant see a song out, especially when its a bass on its own, but this does it for me, love it.

Was not the sound that I was expecting to come out of her, nice rich voice, class act that young lady, I also remember Gail Ann doing a nice song + bass tune on the tube years ago. Makes a nice change to hear.
