ThirteenDevils
Aguilar DB112 or Aguilar SL112? Running a Pbass with Aguilar Tonehammer 350 aside from weight difference is there much between them soundwise? Ta
ebenezer
I have tried both and much prefer the gs/db 112s.....just sound better to my lugs
JTUK
Both are great cabs IMO, the DB is more old skool, full and decent mids and the SL112 has more focus in the mids in quite a pleasing sound... I tend to think of them both as typical of their genre...as in Ceramic or NEO. I prefer ceramic but the SL112 is a great cab in its own right...especially with the TH amp, IMO...and since that would be my combo, I am not sure which I would go for... but if I had to choose, I'd go for SL112. I would always pair them tho, whichever cab I choose. FWIW..I feel the DB design match is with the DB amps and the SL is for TH500..ideally. ThirteenDevils
interesting, anyone else care to chip in? Edited November 26, 2014 by ThirteenDevils
Handwired
You're no doubt expecting this response but you have to hear them yourself, if you pick one that someone else prefers, you'll always be wondering about the other.
ThirteenDevils
I'm considering the DB112 going on the clips available, no where locally i can try em!
ebenezer
guitarguitar at Newcastle stocked them, but I think they had supply problems....worth giving them a ring don't rule out the gs 112 still a great cab and a tad cheaper plus I prefer front ported cabs and the same drivers as the db
