wow thanks for that... the ziricote looks fine with the stripe cut up by the hardware, it's not going to be as much of an issue as thought..

I've a few days to make up my mind... guess it depends how 'out there' I want it!

70's kitchen worktop was the look i was going for...

The decision might be made for me in that the macassar is ever so slightly too narrow for a six string MK3 face and so will need a narrow center block which I'm not really sure about.

So it's looking like ziricote for the win.
