I've got a Spector Euro4 on the way which is finished in black cherry burst (gloss) which is very nice, but I stumbled across this 5LX in black cherry matte on Talkbass... oh my God.

Considering I've exclusively been into white basses only for the last 40 years, I'm having a bit of an epiphany where colour and finish is concerned... what's happening? Mid-Life Crisis..? Nah - had that twenty years ago!

Perhaps I'm just becoming more discerning in my old age!

Technically satin finish so may not qualify.
