Good evening, all...
I have decided to promote, each in turn, the compositions presented in the monthly BC Composition Challenge. I shall give my own, personal, view of the piece, in the hope that at least some will be inspired to give the work a listen, and perhaps a vote as their favourite. All the pieces can be heard here...

Ah..! The disco 'big beat', with its insidious count of '1, 1, 1, 1' and hi-hat rhythm..! There' a summary bass, then a sequenced arpeggio which weaves its way around the chord structure. Time for a 'disco' lead, suitably dynamically filtered. We're not that far away from 'Telstar'; the melody leads us in several directions, but eventually it gives way after several rounds, to become more subdued, and the arpegiator takes front of stage. The bass comes forward, too, with 'root-octaves' until the fade-out.
We're quite definitely in early disco days here, with a cliché drum beat and early synths. Too early in period for the swamping violins (thank goodness..!), and just post-Stylophone (for the oldies amonsgt us...). The arpeggios approach dangerously the borders of tedium, escaping with some unexpected leaps; the melody, too,has a limited shelf-life, but the overall brevity of the piece saves us. I'm not so much an avid disco enthusiast to know if this is truly 'period correct', but it's authentic enough for me. I'm glad I wasn't there at the time. The dance floor is packed, however, and the ghosts are still bopping, even after the echoes have died away, so it's very much fit for purpose.
