Squier JV Precision plate. Advice please.

I'm after changing my white plate for a black one but dont want to add anymore holes. I've read that the JV's were a blueprint copy of the original USA 57-63's and so any 57-63 13 hole USA plate will fit. Is this accurate information or have I been reading twaddle? :D

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Dunc

My '83 JV has 13 holes, not including the pups and knobs. I think the information is most likely correct
