Icunningham Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Well after nearly 2 years i finally have a new bass day to report. I only went to costa to see a friend and grab a coffee and ended up purchasing a gorgeous black Musicman Stingray. Im absolutely in love and asking myself why i didn't buy one any sooner I'm in love with the neck on it, the feel and size is perfect as its not quite a p bass but not a jazz either. Thanks for looking Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Classic black black and maple, nice one Quote
HowieBass Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I think that'd be the colour and fingerboard combo I'd go for [s]were I to[/s] when I buy a Stingray... happy new bass day! Quote
M@23 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Beats going out to buy a new bass and coming back with coffee! Quote

grenadilla Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Besides the solid construction and good balance you now have a nice active e.q. to fiddle with for a variety of top tones! My Ray 34 is now my favourite . Play On! Quote
Icunningham Posted December 1, 2014 Author Posted December 1, 2014 i absolutely love the bass, put some fresh new strings on it last night and can hardly put it down, starting to wonder why its taken me so long to buy one Quote
stingrayPete1977 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I've owned, lent, gigged or tried loads of great basses including some real high end stuff but I'm always happiest with some form of Stingray. Quote
