Maivelle Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Hi, I'm new here. I just purchased a lovely used Warwick Streamer Stage 1 4 string. It sounds great. I just wanted to know if anyone here knew exactly what frequencies are being pushed with the eq section of the preamp especially the mids. There is no sweepable midrange, only a boost. Midrange is fairly broad so i would like to know exactly what it is i'm boosting. Same goes for bass and treble. I should imagine 800ish for mids, 80-100 for bass and somewhere in the 3-5k range for the treble but it would be useful to know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Regards Brian Quote
goingdownslow Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Found this on Warwick forum
I have a Warwick owners manual from 2000(I think) and it lists the frequencies as 2KHz & 100Hz for the 2 band and 8.5KHz,800Hz & 100Hz for the 3 band.
I have a Warwick 97/98 brochure that lists the treble @ 8KHz. No figure for bass or mid. Having both 2 and 3 band eq'd Warwicks I find the treble @ 8KHz has no real effect. Edited December 1, 2014 by goingdownslow Quote
BassBod Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I can't answer the question, but I replaced the three band MEC (when it started making strange noises) with a two band Aguilar circuit and really thought it was an improvement. I've also recently used an old Streamer II which has a Bartolini 2 band fitted and its really nice sounding, and very easy to use. I never found the mid band that useful. Quote
