edpirie Posted November 30, 2014 Share Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) Classic flatwound set - 45, 65, 85, 105. I bought these a month ago from Wunjo's to A/B against a set of TIs. Pretty torn between them - the differences have been well aired in the Forum. These DTBs have a solid bass thump which the TI can't match, but what has won the contest for me is the looser tension as I'm getting the odd bit of tendonitis from work, so need to be careful not to aggravate it. That said, I didn't find the FS to be more effort to play than a normal set of roundwounds. Given a set of flats will keep going for years, these are basically new, just played in past their sticky phase. I had them on a P, so they have been cut for a 34" scale neck.
