Clarky72
Who bought mine from me? I can't remember who it was.... Do you want to sell it back to me? I was stupid. I regret it massively...

brensabre79
Yeah I feel ya, for all the advances in technology over the last 50 years, there is still nothing that sounds and feels like an SVT with an 8x10. Nothing.
Clarky72
You're so right Bren. I've tried upmteen lightweight modern amps with all the bells and whistles with super light cabs, but absolutely nothing comes close.

danbowskill
Is the skunk works that much different to a standard svt?
Clarky72
It is, in that it was built in the USA rather than the MTI era ones around that time, and it was built to the spec of the original 70's SVT amps with a slightly different pre-amp stage. Its a very different sound to the newer far east built SVT CL and 450. The closest to that sound available now is the SVT-VR which is pretty close to the old 70s blue line SVT. Clarky72
So I found the guy Sean in Kent who I sold mine to. He sold it on in the summer of 2012 to a guy near Birmingham. Has anyone around that area seen a Skunkworks head? Mine was no 236. There's so few of them about it would stand out like a sore thumb to any bass nerd! davedave
Hi Clarky. I've got an early 70s blue line svt that I'm going to have to move on early next year. Should I give you a shout when it's ready to go?

[/quote] Well keep me in mind when you`re offloading the BF S12T then, quite like the idea of two paired together
