Squier VM PJ direct bridge replacements - suggestions please

Hello

Anyone has experience of swapping the stock Squier VM bridge with a higher-mass better-intonation-setting bridge, like a hipshot A style or Gotoh?

Looking for something that will just fit, no drilling etc.

Thanks!

With no mods it HAS to be the specific Fender Mount model:

Otherwise, you'll be filling and drilling, as the standard A style is a 4 screw mount which doesn't line up at all with the holes a standard Fender type bridge has.

Many thanks neepheid - so this A style hipshot is out of the question then, don't want it that much as to go all DIY on that funky Squier.

My experience is that the hole pitch is differs between the Squier's and the Fender's, but it is easy to fill the existing holes and re-drill.
The Babicaz and Hipshot are standard five screw fender pitch

Just get a Gotoh 201.
Great bridge, really simple to fit.
If you want to be a bit more bling, then a Badass II will do nicely.
If you're not into DIY though, get one with saddle grooves already in.

EDIT: I should add I've fitted both to a Squier VM with no probs. :)
