deepbass5 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Always loved Boz Scaggs and don't feel his contribution to popular music in the 70's was fully recognised, he was a musicians musician and worth checking out his back catalogue. Thanks bub, this sounds like he is seeking out what got him into the business. It sounds like - As the years go passing by http://youtu.be/gIkOaTVu8uM http://youtu.be/vDidE0uVpjA Quote
BetaFunk Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Great album and Boz Scaggs first after leaving the Steve Miller Band. My brother bought this on it's release and we probably wore it out over the next few years in our house. Still have a copy in my collection though. A Muscle Shoals classic. This is probably my favourite from that album...... Edited December 1, 2014 by BetaFunk Quote
Mickeyboro Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I also recommend his new (not new now, but latest) album Memphis. Stripped back bluesy stuff that's very well worth listening to. Quote
deepbass5 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I could never pinpoint why i liked his music but he seemed to have a knack of not getting in the way of it, if that makes sence just very easy listening, and you always want to return to it again and again. Quote
KevB Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 There's a great Boz Scaggs 2-CD anthology that came out in 1997 with a load of good stuff on it including the track in the OP, had it for several years. Quote
Well worth picking up. I love the 'Slow Dancer' album, really surprisingly soulful, and full of cracking tracks. Quote
