the albums that he wrote are so great, its the perfect mix of soul, jazz fusion and funk for me. he was such a fantastic piano player. he always had great harmonies, some might say its very EWF, maybe, but i think George was out there on his own. when you really listen, he was very unique. for those who know this music, Its not very hard

I saw George Duke live a few times, twice with Stanley Clarke and also twice with Anita Baker. Great live performer and always seems to just love being up on stage and playing!
