AndyTravis
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=121510168128 This is something I've never understood; use of the girlfriend to 'model' the guitar or bass. Are we still in the 1950's? "I wasn't going to buy a bass today, but look, it'll get me a girl just like this!? SOLD!" No offence to the lady in the photos, I just find it odd. If I asked Mrs T, I'd expect a slap.
Thor
Whilst I don't condone such behaviour (the use of the GF to drape herself over the bass) the seller has achieved exposure to a much wider audience as you've shared the for sale add on here, and so it could be argued that he's got better value for money/more mileage when compared to a "normal" ad - and that's what marketing does for you. I concur that if I asked my good lady to display her wares whilst hugging one of my basses she'd think I'd gone gaga!
