artisan
i nipped into PMT Leeds yesterday, just for a browse. had a play on a few basses that took my eye,the 1st of which was said Ibanez. i just loved it to bits,it just blew anything else i tried into the weeds. i never jelled with a 5 string until now but have no problem with this bass at all,it plays & sounds really nice. build quality it exceptional & it is well spec'd,a very good buy for the money. it even has Nordstrand Big Singles Love it. i must say its a while since i have been into PMT & i was pleasantly suprised, that staff were very helpful + they had a very good selecton of basses too. Cameronj279
I really like these basses. Played a few in GuitarGuitar and always wanted to take one home with me. Good buy sir!

LukeFRC
I think I tried this exact bass - nice instrument it is too!
cocco
I had my first experience with an SR today. It was an SR 2000 from 1990. Oh my god what a bass! Maple all the way though. Needless to sayiI have SR gas now. I'll probably end up with this model.
ezbass
I've got one of these, a very versatile and easy playing bass. My go to sound is a little mid and bass boost (8 o'clock as you look at them), treble flat (6 o'clock) and blend slightly towards the bridge (5 o'clock). This set up sits really nicely in the mix with my band and has drawn very appreciative comments from bass playing folk with kit much higher up the food chain. Enjoy. skej21
Great, great basses. My only gripe is the gold hardware. It looks great on models such as the SR1805 but I think on the SR1600/1605 it would look really nice with black hardware! Also one of the best things about the SR1200, SR1600 and SR1800 models that never gets mentioned but makes a huge difference to playability (IMO!) is the Wenge/bubinga neck. It's stunning! White Cloud
Congratulations, nice buy. Totally agree with aforementioned opinions. My 1205 has been my gigging bass of choice for 2 1/2 years now and it has been a really great instrument.

Mornats
These are lovely. I played one in PMT and it was superb in playability, looks and sound. I still don't know why I don't have one...
ern500evo
Congratulations, absolutely cracking basses. I bought an amp a few years back and used the guy's 1205 to try the amp out and it was fantastic to play.

ezbass
My only gripe is the gold hardware.
I agree, I don't like the bling factor of gold hardware and bought the burr top as it seems to stick out less than on the 1205. Hopefully the chemicals in my hands will strip the plate off, or dull it down, soon as it has in the past with other gold plate.
artisan
many thanks for the comments guys, look like i made a popular choice i really like this bass,it sounded good in the shop but at my gig last night i used it in the last 3 songs (i play DB in a rockabilly/country band) & it sounded just mega through my GB rig, loved it. i can't believe i found a 5 string i can actually play,in fact i like it so much that i'm selling all my 4 string basses & sticking with 5's. as mentioned above the neck on this bass is sublime,it feel even better than the neck i had on a boutique custom bass a while back, love it. oh i love the gold hardware too
