Saw this while looking at that - albeit randomly - wasn't everything complicated before the microchip??

Some builders are bound to be pretty open to doing this sort of thing. When you consider that some top woods need epoxy filled to be viable for use anyway (buckeye burl is one I've seen this done on) it's not that big a departure...

I've been experimenting with different inlays for furniture recently - silicone, metal, even cinnamon. Loving the glow stuff though. I've ordered a batch to have a play. I've had an idea brewing where I have a piece of wood riddled with woodworm holes (beasties now long gone) and was going to put a brightly coloured silicone in the holes, but this glow stuff will be even better. Obviously it will be called The GlowWorm table :-)

Does it work like normal glow in the dark stuff where it would be brightest just after you turn the lights out and gradually get dimmer?

Do you reckon it would lose effectiveness over time and be barely visible in say five years time?

I've been using glow powder in clear casting resin for many years now with great success. I've made garden 'lights' which are still glowing strongly 8 years after they were first made.

Excellent! Sounds like its time to try this on a bass body then! :)

This isn't luminescent, but maybe it could be done as part of the same process?
