A massive thanks to Lurksalot (Kev), for his time and hospitality yesterday, taking me through some of the basics to get started on recording with Reaper. A big thanks to Skol303 (Paul) for introducing us as well. It takes a lot to invite a stranger in to your home and even more to spend a good couple of hours patiently explaining some very, very basics in home recording to an absolute newbie - just goes to show what a great place Basschat is (and the lengths Kev will go to for a vote)

Hopefully you'll be seeing more of me in this forum in the near future!

Brilliant! I'm so pleased to hear it went well, Mike.

I knew you'd be in good hands with Lurks and from what I hear, you've been roped into his composition this month?! Seems like a fair deal to me :D

Well done to Lurks for being the Obi-Wan to your Skywalker. Sterling work mate.

And yes, this means you now have to show your face more often in the Recording forum. It's the law!

Cheers guys :drinks:

You are most welcome Mike,

Do anything for a vote ........ Hell Yeah :D
Do anything to get some decent vocals on a track .....Hell Yeah :D

I really enjoyed it to be honest and learned some more stuff myself along the way, along with some great anecdotes from Mike of his nights on the pop with some big names of the music industry , all of which are safe with me ;) .
