wateroftyne Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 I don't really have much of an option of the Moody Blues one way or the other, but I've always fancied one of these... Quote
ambient Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 My dad likes them, I always thought they were kind of trying to be Pink floyd, but never actually making it. Quote
BetaFunk Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014
My dad likes them, I always thought they were kind of trying to be Pink floyd, but never actually making it.
Probably not commercial enough. Quote
ezbass Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 John Lodge & Justin Hayward as The Blue Jays was the first 'proper' gig I went to at The Albert Hall, back in 75. The Moody Blues have always sounded different from anyone else to me, the only similar sounding band I can think of from around then is Barclay James Harvest and the MBs were going way before them I think. spectoremg Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 The fathers of prog rock as far as I'm concerned and some absolutely glorious music. The keyboard player helped develop the Mellotron (which I believed ended up in Tony Banks possession). Quote
