deanovw Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 eBay. I have got several used flight cases from eBay for a fraction of the cost of new ones. Quote
bigd1 Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 I've had a good look on Evil Bay but not much joy. Quote
Weststarx Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Our drummer has picked up loads of really decent second hand flight cases from ebay as well for extremely cheap prices compared to buying them new. Theres loads on there its just a case of going through all the pages! Quote
paulbass Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 I think Maplins used to sell them in various sizes. Quote

Chrismanbass Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 might be able to pick up a used peli case on gumtree something like this http://www.gumtree.com/p/tool-storage-workbenches/peli-1500-case.-unbreakable-watertight-dustproof-chemical-resistant-and-corrosion-proof./1092657879 they're a bit on the pricey side but they're indestructible will last way longer than anything else Quote
kodiakblair Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 There's always Flightcase warehouse http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/music/index.asp?groupID=2400 I used them for my guitar stands. Quick and easy service Quote
taunton-hobbit Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 (edited) B&Q sell aluminium cases quite cheap, I used a couple as projector carriers for years, and another as a toolkit box, so they'll take a fair amount of abuse............I note a Google search also brings up a firm called Cases-and-Enclosures.co.uk - who look worth a punt..... KevB Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Used the Maplins tool case types for years, pretty robust if you don't overfill them and strain the latches. Often on half price sales at the right time of year. Quote
Paul S Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 If you want to stretch your £££ look at small hand luggage sized suitcases or laptops cases in charity shops - probably get sorted for a couple of quid. Might not look as cool, though. Quote
Norris Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I used a small Carlton suit case. It took about 20 years to fall apart. Very tough if you don't need a proper full-on flight case. I replaced it with a Maplin style case which is tough enough for local gigging Quote
