NAD: Matamp GT100

Been after an old Matamp or Orange lately, and this came up on the Matamp Facebook group this week so nabbed it. Picked it up today and it sounds immense. Well worn, but you would expect that from a 40 year old amp. Currently fitted with JJ EL34's in the power section, she's shaking the room with volume at 9 oclock

Can't see this going anywhere for a long time!

Ooow, congrats mate. I wondered who picked that up.
Out of interest, what cab is that? It might be my eyes playing tricks on me but it looks like it's got some fancy "western" tolex on it.

Cab is a replica of an Ampeg 'straightback' 810 which I bought a few weeks back. And it's not your eyes! It has a fancy, almost flowery tolex in it. Sounds a bit naff, but looks great in person.

Are you the Dave with the OR200? Dream amp!

Hi matey.
It does look really good though. I really love those flat back 8x10s.
There was a 70s Orange one for sale near me last year. I stupidly didn't buy it.
That is indeed me with the or200. I managed to pick a second one up t'other week. It needs a bit of work, but it was cheap.

Nice find! Love these old amps. I have quite a collection but never played thru a Matamp.
