EndofSilence Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Hi, This one's kind of a bummer for me but I'm looking to sell my Warwick Thumb Singlecut 6 string. •Neck-through design •US swamp ash body with Bubinga Pommelé top •Flamed maple neck •Tiger stripe ebony fingerboard •Scale: 34″ Long Scale •26 frets (or fretless) •Passive MEC Soap bar humbucker •Active MEC 3-band electronics with 2 mini toggle switches for coil splitting •Warwick tuner •Warwick 2-piece bridge •Warwick Security Locks •Black hardware •Just-A-Nut III [attachment=178660:image.jpeg] [attachment=178661:image1.jpeg] [attachment=178662:image2.jpeg] [attachment=178663:image3.jpeg] [attachment=178664:image4.jpeg] [attachment=178665:image5.jpeg] [attachment=178666:image6.jpeg] The string spacing is 15mm and the serial number is B 158013 12. Unfortunately there is a bow in the neck due to the damp and I don't have the money to get the damn thing fixed (which is the reason why the price is so low). As far as how it affects the sound, there is some major fretbuzz from the seventeenth to twenty first fret along the b-string but no major fretbuzz across the rest of the strings so the sound isn't affected through the amp. The bass is shipped in a hard case. Edited December 15, 2014 by EndofSilence
warwickhunt Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Was about to say that is a ridiculous price for such a rare bass, then I noted the bow! Still fixable by a competent luthier at a reasonable cost so worth a punt I'd have said.
gingerfish Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Wow. That is a beauty and such a shame. Hope someone gets it back to a playable state.
funkyjimbob Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 How much do these basses go for normally (in working condition?). I know my Warwick values pretty well but when it comes to these I literally have no idea!
Robbass Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 New for 3500 GBP easy... on the warwick site they are far more expensive, but that are retail prices.
Robbass Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Sorry my price is for a 5 string.... haha. So maybe try to get it fixed somewhere. Good luck.
Kev Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 [quote name='funkyjimbob' timestamp='1418807887' post='2633470'] How much do these basses go for normally (in working condition?). I sold my 2013 SSI for £2,100 and this is more expensive. This is a bargain for what is likely to be an easy fix for a competent luthier. Bump!
binky_bass Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 This beast is now mine... Sounds outstanding. Basically... it's SOLD!
