OutToPlayJazz
I've always been into the Hiscox cases, right from the early 80's with my Hiscox cello case. The Hiscox Status lifelite cases are excellent, too. Right now, I'm really impressed with the new TSA approved SKB case that came with my 08 Fender Precision. Excellent case, very rigid & more than anything, very lightweight as well.

bass_ferret
Oh that Thomann one looks like it's going to rip up your car seats ....
Not only that - I know from experience that style of case takes up much more room in your car/van whatever, but they also weigh a ton. Machines
For me it's a gig bag, if it's not going in your own car then a hardcase. Hardcases are best for the instrument, but suck for portability/storage.
