Interesting process, and interesting as there were some guitars that I changed specifically because the colour bugged me. What sort of price does a decent respray / rework like that go for?

The guitarist in my band just has his Fender Jaguar refinished in Surf Green with matching headstock and a replacement decal. Because he specced nitrocellulose (which is apparently a bugger to work with and more expensive to buy) the job came to £120 - which seems very reasonable to me!

I can provide details if anyone is interested - but bear in mind he is based in North East England...

Your old 75RI is lovely, but I really don't rate those pickups after all, so a pair of Model J that I have in my collection of parts might be making their way onto it pretty soon! But it's lovely to play :) You enjoying the Lakland?
