Woodinblack Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Interesting process, and interesting as there were some guitars that I changed specifically because the colour bugged me. What sort of price does a decent respray / rework like that go for? Quote
RhysP Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014
Is there any other accent that could possibly be used to describe a CAR jazz with a black scratchplate, maple neck and black block inlays? stingrayPete1977 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I think it needs the white guard to bring in the blocks/binding? When is your audition for the Shadows tribute band anyway Quote
The guitarist in my band just has his Fender Jaguar refinished in Surf Green with matching headstock and a replacement decal. Because he specced nitrocellulose (which is apparently a bugger to work with and more expensive to buy) the job came to £120 - which seems very reasonable to me! I can provide details if anyone is interested - but bear in mind he is based in North East England... Quote
Your old 75RI is lovely, but I really don't rate those pickups after all, so a pair of Model J that I have in my collection of parts might be making their way onto it pretty soon! But it's lovely to play You enjoying the Lakland? Quote
rungles Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Looks lovely with the tort pickguard. Quote
