Graham
Hello all, I imagine this has been covered a few times before, but I tried searching for it and failed. How easy is it to replace the LED module in a Streamliner if it, like mine, suffers from known intermittent fault? Can I, an electronics layman do it myself? Or will it require more specialist skills? Anyone know how expensive the replacement units are? Apologies for my rubbish search skills, and thanks for any help. discreet
AFAIK you need to desolder the faulty LEDs and solder in the replacements.
icastle
LED's generally work or they don't - intermittent doesn't really happen. If it's intermittent then it's more likely to be a bad solder joint on one of the LED legs. Try resoldering the joints before you start buying parts. Graham
Interestingly, I've taken the top off the chassis and when powered the three LEDs light, bit are very dim

[/quote] It's a known fault, and G-B (now Fender) will send new LEDs gratis to anyone who wants them, but won't fit them for you unless you're prepared to do without your amp for a few weeks, which most people are not. When mine DO decide to come on they're bright enough. I don't care either way though, I've always thought they were a bit of a gimmick and needlessly add to the cost of the amp. Very happy with the amp otherwise, though. The LEDs make not a jot of difference to anything, of course. discreet
OR, you could just think laterally and get rid of the amp entirely!!
Graham
Lol, repairing the LEDs was prompted by the idea of moving it on rather than moving it on because I can't repair the lights

But I'd have trouble keeping them quiet enough. Pretty much wherever I go and regardless of room size, I can't seem to get the master beyond 10 o'clock without vibrating everyone's vitals...
