kevvo66
I really am craving one of these ,I remember playing one maybe 20yrs ago ,something triggered me off wanting one again ! Now I seem to remember liking it,or is one of them situations when you only recall the good times and not bad ,mmm Edited December 19, 2014 by kevvo66
sbrag
If only you'd posted that a month ago you could have bought mine! They sound great really powerful pickups and preamp and load of tonal options. I just couldn't get on with how narrow the neck was and the lack of head confusing me with what fret I was on (that may be me being thick though). You can pick them up for pretty decent prices (under £200) and it would trounce a lot of other basses in that price band.
xilddx
Great basses. I loved mine.
paul_5
Loved mine too, that neck was just too skinny.

MoonBassAlpha
I thought they were really nice too. I don't think the necks were particularly skinny, and the profile is more rounded than most today. One of THE most comfortable basses to wear IMHO. leschirons
Had one for maybe 3 years. Fab to play and I loved the neck profile. Never seemed to go out of tune either. Perfect for a long gig as they're so light. We'll have to find one for Blue in the States as he always seems to play 4 hour gigs
kevvo66
I did 3hr gig last week myself never again lol
Telebass
Doing 2x90 minutes tonight as the bands' grand finale!
Chiliwailer
Aw, brings back memories. I had .both the active humbuckers version and active jazz pickups version - both were killer little headless wonders. Then my old Stingray came along.... geoffbyrne
Remember - a Hohner 'B' bass is a Jack with a head - otherwise the same. G.
King Tut
I did my first gig with a Jack. Sold it on and a few years later bought it back. The lack of a head plush he altered hanging position on a strap does throw me out a bit and as a singing bass player really need to know where I'm going without looking. Having said that, we're not parting company again, that's for sure!
Paul S
Remember - a Hohner 'B' bass is a Jack with a head - otherwise the same. kevvo66
Cheers people , think I may struggle getting one ,May even look for a hohner with a head yet then cut the head off ,maybe not then
Thunderbird
I liked my B2A better and if I am right I think they had the same pups and electrics as the Jack but to me I thought the neck was much chunkier
kodiakblair
I remember playing one of them years ago at BMF. If memory is correct it was a helluva fine bass. Keep looking cause there was a fair few sold back then.
sbrag
You ought to get hold of one fairly easily. They turnup on here/Gumtree/fleabay etc reasonably often. There's a humbucker one on flea Bay at the moment with a bin of £299. Mine sold recently for £170 so it feels a little steep but mine was the jazz version the ebay one looks in better condition.
