Ant
ooooofffffffff, have you heard the devestating bass tone on this recording? http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=gZwFycBgUpI it's making me get super gas for a big beasty valve amp, any idea which can get big tones like that with a jazz bass? Kiwi
No disrespect intended, but how do you know that the sound in that clip is the sound coming out of his amp?

burno70
I've wanted a valve amp for years now but the size and weight of the beasts put me off so I went down the light weight route and settled on a mark bass rig. Whilst I love my rig, it's not valve. Need roadies!
MananaMan
If you're interested, I'm currently thinking about selling my Marshall all-valve rig. VBA400 + VBC810 = LOOOOUUUUD. (Also = heavy) I love the tone, loved the sheer noise and playing dynamics. Just couldn't convince the rest of me band to help me carry it all!
