bassfunk
Actually I got the bass last Friday but I've been busy. I got it from an eBay seller who described it as a German bass, he bought it 2nd hand 30 years ago and has barely played it. It has a great sound even with the lumpy 30 year old strings on it, according to the Quinn string checker the strings are a set of discontinued super sensitive. I've been playing an Antoni debut for 18 months and this is certainly a step up. Now to figure out how to post pics with my phone.
philparker
Everyone seems to be having a NDBD! Maybe I'll upgrade next year. I did see that one in eBay and it looked interesting and for a good price as well - I'm glad to see its gone to a good home!
bassfunk
Thanks, yeah the price was right. I've spent months waiting for something like this to come up in the northwest, I'd almost given up! Unfortunately I'm away for a week now so I can't swap the strings and have a play. I'm going to take it to a Luthier in the new year and have it set up. It's nice having a more grown up bass Here's a photo (hopefully) Edited December 23, 2014 by bassfunk
fatback
Lovely! Don't know how you can bear to be away for a whole week. Can't you send a body double or something?
