I think you just have to find it on their website - there is no marking on the guitar as to what range it is part of I don't think. My CV Precision just says 'Squier Precision bass'. I suppose maybe the serial may help..

Oh yes, it is in the serial number. Starting with CGS is classic vibe (made in china), that is what I have on mine, wiki lists quite a lot of the serial numbers

The Squier VM P basses come stock with a Duncan Designed branded pickup and the neck is 41mm wide at the nut - the amber/maple combination comes with a black scratchplate.
