Born under a bad sign Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Hi, I'm new to playing bass (it was my bucket list, in my late 40s now) I am currently using a P Bass copy, which has a great neck and terrible electronics. So I will be looking for something else quite soon. I have an eclectic taste in music but I'm concentrating my bass learning around the blues. Just about got some basic boogie lines and scales nailed along with a few turnarounds etc. All very basic, but really enjoying it, which is the main thing. Anyway, hope this site will add some wisdom to my exuberant but somewhat wayward learning. Have a happy 2015 and I hope to meet some of you in the new year. Quote
Billy Apple Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Welcome! If your P copy is good you might find some LX upgrades in our marketplace that would save you on a complete new bass Quote
FinnDave Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Now there's a coincidence, I was just listening to our new version of 'Born under a Bad Sign' when I saw your post. My wife and I holiday in Northumberland at least once a year, some great pubs and great food up there! Quote
Allie Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Welcome to BC. Plenty of wise friendly folk here, so if you have a question just ask it.. Someone will probably be able to help. Allie. Quote
