Paul S
I hope it works out. Steve Marriott was one of the greats but never really widely acclaimed as such. Not only was he a great RnB guitar player who just had the right feel for what he was playing, but his unique voice was versatile, powerful and one of the finest of a generation. One of the very best gigs I have ever seen was Humble Pie in the mid 70s. Be nice if he got more recognition.
dincz
Looking forward to the film and hope it gets off the ground. His daughter Mollie has a decent set of lungs too.

[/quote] Yes, I heard her sing with the Jones Gang, had not heard of her before that. I played Ogdens Nut Gone Flake to death when I was a late teen , then got into Humble Pie, so would love to see this film

BILL POSTERS
Slightly OT I know. Theres a pretty obscure video of S.M's Packet of 3 that is superb. Hadnt realised he was actually that good. Great bass on it as well, but I cant remember whos playing. Its really well worth looking out for.

Bassman Steve
I was told a great story about the forthright Mr M. He was at a gig in aid of a yound lad who was in a coma. On being asked to record a message of encouragement to the chap, SM took the recorder and shouted "wake up you c**t" into it before handing it back.
