Count Bassy
I had the pleasure of seeing Wilko with NWR and the drummer in the Summer of 2103 (Wickham Festival), and then, later the same day the full Blockheads with Wilko guesting on a few. I think I actually posted here at the time because both shows were incredibly tight, and both rated among the best live shows I have ever seen - and this was at a time when Wilko was officially dying (before the major surgery). Makes it hard to understand how this hootanany performance got to air.
steantval
Firstly I was a big fan of the Feelgoods. This performance by Wilko and his band was dreadful, as I watched it I said to my wife that they would not even get a gig at our local pubs playing like that. spectoremg
Illness doesn't excuse a bad performance - if you're ill, you cancel the gig!
Geek99
I'm sorry - I thought it was dreadful
leschirons
Just had a listen. That smacks of 3 blokes who feel the need to start a band and maybe do a gig down their local for a bit of a laugh. Shame they let that performance slip through the net. However, there's obviously a reason for it rather than that's just how they sound normally.
