Lakland Skyline 55-01 in tobacco sunburst.

Bolt on neck with 5 bolt fixing
Dot markers on neck side and top face
Nut width 45mm
Width at 22nd fret = 75mm
String spacing at nut = 8mm
String spacing at 22nd fret = 16mm

Lakland dual access adjustable bridge with through-body stringing option (currently set up that way)
2 x Bartolini MK1 split coil humbucker pickups
Fishman flip top battery compoartment for quick battery change (standard 9v
Volume knob with pull EQ defeat to bypass the active preamp
Pan knob,
Knobs for bass, middle and treble with centre detents, allowing a wide range of tones to be obtained

The bass weighs 4.625 kilos with no strap. I think that is a tad over 10lbs.

A previous owner had bounced the bass at some time in the distant past causing a tiny crack to the rear of the headstock and a crack to the preamp bay, these have been professionally repaired and refinished by luthier Colin Keefe http://www.keefeguit...co.uk/index.php

Two tiny dents remains in the body near the jack plug output and is visible on close inspection, and a few really tiny marks on the neck, barely noticeable, and do not affect playing in any way - just mentioned for sake of accuracy. no buckle rash.

A couple of YouTube reviews here give you a rundown on the features and examples of how the bass sounds:

Plays beautifully - can be tried out by prior arrangement - I live in Stapleford, Nottingham, 1 mile from M1 junction 25.

I would really prefer collection, I can deliver within 15 miles locally.

I will ship to UK postal addresses if necessary, at cost.

ikay has very kindly let me know that the Skyline series was first introduced in 2001. The first two digits of the serial number indicate the date of manufacture so this bass looks like a 2003 model (not 1996).

Such good basses these. Super playable neck with a tight and punchy low B. Big range of sounds from the big Barts. I have exactly this bass and love it to bits. Have a bump Geezer.

Final price drop £440.
If it doesn't sell at this price I'll hang on to this great bass!
Also on an on-line auction site - so if it gets a bid there I'll end the sale here.
But if it sells here first I'll end the auction.
