1983 fender Precision....immaculate condition sold subject to the usual... £2000

What I'm looking at is at a reasonable price so willingly to pass that on and I'm open to reasonable offers.

I've decided to keep my 71 Precision but will be parting with my 1983 Precision. It was owned by a collector before me and is in immaculate condition. It has one slight dink on the neck, other than that it looks like it came out the factory yesterday. I have changed the White pick up covers for black, but will supply the originals. I'm looking for something a little more lived, a limelight would be considered.

I've already changed my mind about a dozen times about selling either of these, but think I shouldn't really have two P basses and should have something a little different. I'd like to hold on to the 71 but the right price would prise it from my grasp!
My problem with the 83 is that is in such good condition I darnt take it out the house, I just know I'd end up knocking against a cymbal (or pint glass!!)
I need something a little more worn!

Interesting. So many good basses up at the moment I'm seriously considering selling my wonderful Limelight.
I knew I shouldn't have got a rosewood board, they never feel right to me.
Food for thought because that Black, maple boarded P is just stunning.

I bought an identical bass new in 1984, it was probably an 83 model like yours and had the same maple neck and white pup covers, as well as the same case, it was a great bass, albeit a bit heavy on long gigs. If I hadn't just bought a US precision I'd be all over this....good luck with the sale.

This is probably in just about the same condition as the on you bought back in 84, but a little lighter at a rather shoulder friendly 8.4..
