phil_the_bassist Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Morning! Just wondering if anyone knows of a free program that slows down mp3s without altering pitch? I use a mac, if that makes any difference! cheers in advance! Quote
stingrayfan Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Search: Amazing Slow Downer by Roni Music. It's not free but it's really good. Quote

Peaty Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 As a mac user you already have a way of doing this using quick time. Open your MP3 in quick time and then go to the window menu and choose 'show AV controls' in there you will find tempo settings and pitch settings, it is not the best way of doing it but it works fine. Amazing slow downer is a better way of doing what you want as you can set loop points and such like very easily. Have fun Pete Quote
The Funk Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I run Audacity on my Mac. It works well. It helped me work out a couple of basslines. Quote
fekalizatorius Posted August 16, 2008 Posted August 16, 2008 Piracy is inevitable. But when I can, I prefer to use open source stuff. So I personally suggest Audacity. I use it for instruments, vocal recording, and any other audio edition needs. And it works on linux Quote
