2stringsmcginty Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Howdo, A friend has sent me here looking for flat wound strings for my bass and also to sell my double bass but figured I'd stick around. Been playing bass for a decade or so, mainly at church on a sunday morning etc, had the obligatory Fender P bass copy before getting a lighter Tanglewood Rebel (4 string) due to an old shoulder injury. Some time out earlier this year after being knocked off my motorbike waiting to turn right at some lights and I couldn't even put the strap over my shoulder without pain Got the insurance pay out and bought a double bass hoping to get up to speed and play that instead (I'm a bit rockabilly in my music tastes for the past few years) but really not got the hang of it, can't lift it in and out of the car and my shoulder has recovered enough to play bass guitar again so I'll get round to advertising it soon anything else you wanna know, just ask Quote
discreet Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Welcome to the forum... what's the 2-strings thing about then? Quote
2stringsmcginty Posted January 4, 2015 Author Posted January 4, 2015
Welcome to the forum... what's the 2-strings thing about then?
I tend to only use the E and A strings when I play, so 2 strings Quote
2stringsmcginty Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Well, having gotten my bass guitar out of storage it looks like the neck has twisted due to previously repaired damage, best get the double listed so I can afford to replace it http://basschat.co.uk/topic/253186-black-34-size-double-bass/ Quote
