DaytonaRik Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Our guitarist had a vinyl banner printed and displayed outside a venue for a few weeks leading up to our last gig - it seemed to work and the venue had in the managers words "the busiest night they've had there, including New Year's Eve" I suspect we'll be continuing to use this strategy where practically possible Quote
Oopsdabassist Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 We have a 3m long vinyl banner we put up as a backdrop..never thought of using like that though......bit of a bugger if it gets nicked, but a good marketing ploy...I like it!! Quote
JTUK Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 Can't argue if it works... not sure how practical it is for all gigs and would also want to see if the pattern was repeated, but as I said, if it works, it works. Quote
taunton-hobbit Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 I used to run a regular gig at a pub with a disused off sales 'shop' - used to have dayglo posters printed, mounted on a board in the window & left a uv tube on 24/7 - worked very well indeed (for several years). Quote
Bassmonkey Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 We have one. Cost us £40. We lend it to venues prior to our gigs there and take a £40 deposit. Works a treat and hasn't been nicked yet! Quote
