Our guitarist had a vinyl banner printed and displayed outside a venue for a few weeks leading up to our last gig - it seemed to work and the venue had in the managers words "the busiest night they've had there, including New Year's Eve"

I suspect we'll be continuing to use this strategy where practically possible :)

Can't argue if it works... not sure how practical it is for all gigs
and would also want to see if the pattern was repeated, but as I said,
if it works, it works.

I used to run a regular gig at a pub with a disused off sales 'shop' - used to have dayglo posters printed, mounted on a board in the window & left a uv tube on 24/7 - worked very well indeed (for several years).

:)
