*SOLD* Peavey Combo 300 Bass Amp
£100

Up for sale is my trusty Peavey Combo 300 which works as a bass or keyboard amp.

This is a true 80's workhorse perfect for a practice room or house amp for a gig venue, anywhere where it doesn't need to move often as it's crazy heavy with only one handle on top.

Extremely versatile and very loud, it will also accommodate and additional speaker cab as well as having patch/effects loops. Also sports Peavey's patented DDT compression.

Used, but not abused with one knob missing. This one does not have casters attached to the bottom, though they would no doubt be possible (and very useful).

Specs:
1 x 15" 4 Ohms speaker
210 watt output at 4 Ohms (300 watts at 2 Ohms - with second 4 Ohms cab attached).
8 band EQ, bright and punch push/pull gain controls.
Active / Passive instrument input support.

Collection from Islington, London; or happy to deliver within 50 miles for cost of fuel.

£100 or best offer.

LOL! Yeah, should have stuck some casters on it before I inadvertently became a Mr Universe contender!

A great and versatile amp indeed!

A true 300W amp and silent running withf no fans. Comes with added bonus of free body-building and fitness training. Yes I had one and a fine thing it was.

Haha, yeah definitely an added perk!

One of these was my very first "real" bass combo. Fond memories of giving the rest of the band decibel sickness.
Ultra reliable and tougher than Mike Tyson.

Thanks man, yeah they are certainly loud and built like tanks. Mine has been used twice as the back line bass amp for a 2-day music festival and never skipped a beat. Amazingly solid and reliable, just too big to be used as a gig amp for 90% of the venues I'm playing at.

I have been borrowing my old Combo 300 from the chap I sold it to since my Ashdown ABM head has been returned to them with a fried transformer, the Peavey being twice the ABMs age. I'd forgotten how incredibly loud and useful an amp it is, definitely some magic going on with those old BW speakers given how small the speaker enclosure actually is within the combo box. Could be a good project for somebody replicating that as a lightweight cab in 12mm ply!
As I am in Staffordshire the economics of driving down to you to collect aren't great, please PM me though if you are anywhere near the Midlands at any point and I'll gladly pay the asking price.
