noirpunk
My Great Uncle found this in the loft, knowing I was a bass player he gave it to me. all I know is it's a Vox and it needs a new nut and a new bridge (if anyone could point me in the right direction for these Id' be grateful). Possibly some electronic attention too Any ideas what model it is?
BigRedX
Interesting... Shape-wise it's closest to the Cougar Bass More info at Fetish Guitars and The Vox Showroom although neither are exhaustive in their bass coverage. noirpunk
Hmmm looks a bit like the Bobcat, Ultrasonic and Cheetah. It's got a made in japan imprint on the neck plate if that helps...
BigRedX
Sounds as though someone else had one here although the pictures have vanished... The "Made In Japan" neck plate means that it won't be one of the Fetish Guitar models as they're all Italian. Hopefully Bassassin will be along soon with some expert knowledge rather than my speculation.
Jean-Luc Pickguard
http://www.brandoniguitars.co.uk/ should have the bits you need, or something very similar. They have a bridge listed as a "Violin bass tune-a-matic, Eko, chrome" @ £10.00 that might do the job.
noirpunk
Just emailed Brandoni. Cheers for that, I can't believe I forgot about them - I ordered bits for another project a few years back through them
