Dr.Dave
Well - maybe not quite so rare but I've been looking for one of these for ages. This ones in the USofA and the likley bid required to secure it , plus the shipping , plus the church boys cut when it gets here makes it a bit rich for my blood. However - should any of you know where there's one for sale , or if you come across one in the future , please pm me and go to the top of my Xmas card list. It was very playable with a reasonable - if not stunning - core sound. It also had a slight 'cheap' feel to it - hence my unwillingness to part with a fortune for one. I do, however, think it looks the dogs. And I'd love one for home use and hopefully to find a job of work for.
Stylon Pilson
If it was any good, surely Fender would have made loads of them? S.P.

And I woudn't want a blue one!
Deep Thought
Is that not like the one somebody got for £25 in a car boot sale back along?

If not I believe both John Shuker and Rob Allen make P-shaped thin-line basses with piezos and magnetic pickups.

My self imposed 'work' ethic won't let me pay proper money for a home use instrument. Plus I'd like a Fender , yes.
bass_ferret
Also the Status Vintage range. But if your heart is set on the Fender I guess its gonna be a long wait.

steve-soar
Did you notice that it has a Fender USA neck plate but what looks like the remains of a Jap serial number on the heel. Any ideas?
SJA
yeah, i thought those were MIJ. there was also the HMT semi acoustic precision, which was fretted, sharkfin inlays with a pointy headstock.

If the Fender Electro-Acoustic is too much dosh, check out a Godin G4. Jean-Luc Pickguard
Just about everytime I play my Fender Stratacoustic I wish I also had an acoustic Precision bass to go with it. A fretless sunburst acoustic precision with an F hole would be perfect, and even more so if it had five strings.
warwickhunt
It isn't quite Fender but don't G&L do something similar... hold on that; just realised it will be similar money!
