TRBboy
Howdy folks! Just wondered if anyone has any experiences of RMI basses they could share with me? I quite like the look of one, but it's a bit of an unknown quantity as I can't just go and try one out in the local shop. If you have/had one (or more), I'd be interested to know your thoughts. Ta. ukdaffy2014
Hi Looked on this site for a few years but only just joined. I own the bass in my profile pic, Its a rmi vm 500 legacy (it was their one off show bass for the 2014 Frankfurt music shows) I have been playing bass for about 18 years and can say it is one of the best basses I have played and this has now replaced my carvin lb76 as my main bass. The build quality so far seems excellent and sound wise can fit into any genre Mark ramsey was also really helpful when I bought it from them. Anything else you need to know more specific just ask Dave
Funky Dunky
No experience playing one but all reviews I've read are full of praise. If you go on YouTube and search 'musiclisha' bassist Alysha Moore has a really nice green RMI Boomslang and she absolutely raves about it. She has been using it in her lastest uploads, so you'll get to hear it. Edited February 7, 2015 by Funky Dunky

TRBboy
Thanks for all of the input guys, but I was actually looking at a specific instrument which Mark was selling on eBay. I didn't end up winning it, but never mind. There seem to be some pretty contrasting opinions about RMI basses..... I'll certainly keep an eye out for new models though, I think there are some launching very soon.
wenbainhouse33
Obviously picking this one up late but was it the green 5 string with block inlays you missed out on?
BrunoBass
Old thread, but I’ve only just seen this. My Boomslang is my number one live bass, it’s a superb instrument. Here’s my NBD post:
neil___lien
I love them!! RMI are the best & wish i could own others. Here is my NBD post i did like a year ago: Still own & love the bass, & it's the only one of the three i own i wouldn't sell! Hope that helps!
