Already posted this in repairs and technical, not sure which was the correct place. I want to connect an FMR Really Nice Compressor 1773 to a Focusrite 18i20 for use with my DAW. Read the manual but I am sill not clear on which cables I need, if possible I want to use the FMR on individual tracks and in stereo on the final mix down. If possible could someone put a link to the cables I need to buy for the stereo mix down.

Cheers for any advice :)

Yes, the RNC has unbalanced ins and outs.

Not sure how you'd use it for the final mixdown if you're recording individual things into your computer (through the interface), as they'd all be digital tracks, but maybe I've misunderstood, or it's a fancy interface that can do that.

I'm not much use here Steve as I work entirely 'in the box'.

I did once look into adding outboard gear to my workflow (something I might try one day) and at the time the simplest option seemed to be using a 500-Series rack or an external mixer. Neither of which suggestions are much help, sorry!

Cheers for feedback,

No problem Skol just asking for advice in case anyone is well up on these things. In order to use it on the final mix the simple way is to place the FMR between the monitor outs and the speakers then once happy with the mix, unplug from monitors and put into a channel on audio interface to record it. You can also route it in a similar way with mix control I have been told but need to get my head around this one though.
