carwash help!!!

Hi everyone,
Got a funk gig coming up and really struggling to nail down that end riff on car wash any suggestions welcome please,
is slap just down to practice as i can see that it seems to be a fast slap riff.

the jazz funk band that i play in with lucas parlato, has barry (colins son on guitar) the boys got his technical side of thigns down to a tea! never heard colin play properly tho... but always hearing good things!

...getting back to the thread, I was playing over a D Minor Pentatonic scale, starting off on the minor 7th...up to the octave etc etc. PM me if you want to; it looks like a flashy lick but its pretty straightforward in actual fact.
