MatthiasBass
This video focuses on different bass sounds. When recording I'm constantly searching for the perfect sound to both match the vibe of the song and fit with the other instruments. No lust in Jazz
They're all good - you are possibly over thinking this.
Skol303
Modded Precision with a pick wins this one for me. But they all sound very nice

wateroftyne
White P for me, but there's not much in it. Incidentally, this video is great, and really shows the power we have in our hands as bass players. Well done! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lS7m_QANCg
Dad3353
This video focuses on different bass sounds...
Any and all are perfectly acceptable. There may well be a slight personal preference for one or another, but they all serve the song equally well, imo. I'd give preference to that which the player felt happiest with, and certainly not throw rocks if another style or instrument was chosen. Over-thinking..? Up to a point, yes. Think about it, listen, and then play on..! A very well-produced video; congratulations.
Skol303
@ No Lust in Jazz: maybe, but it's fun anyway @ Skol303: Thank you!
No problem, happy to oblige! And PS: I personally love the sound of a Jazz... most of the time, I prefer Jazzes to Precisions - but the P-bass with pick just fits this particular track the best in my opinion. Although I have to say, there's not a lot separating any of these basses - they all sound great.

MatthiasBass
@timhiggins: yes, a Sandberg California JM. One of those basses that always sound good, in any situation.
