GazWills Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 (edited) This is just hysterical... a single piece of metal, bent at the end with a few holes in it - no case included, nothing. Just this. £250!!! Woolly Mammoth pedals are crazy expensive, but at least they look cool! Edited January 15, 2015 by GazWills Quote
GazWills Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 I mean, how do you even mount anything on it, it's a piece of metal with a few holes in the middle!! Quote
uncle psychosis Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 What is it? A case for the tinker box thing? Quote
GazWills Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 this link shows it better!! just a single piece of metal, sold as a pedalboard, but pretty minimal!!! Byo Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Saw it a few weeks ago and I could not believe it, thought it was a typo on the web but apparently it is not... Quote
Byo Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015
free delivery though.
LOL! Quote
icastle Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Blimey! I know the 'homespun' market attracts a premium, but £250 for a piece of sprayed extrusion is really pushing the boundaries. Quote
Thunderbird Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Bet they sell plenty though but wow what a rip off Quote
Guest FretNoMore Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 (edited) Ridiculous. As is their pedal pricing. But as long as people are willing to pay I guess they are to be congratulated. Edited January 17, 2015 by FretNoMore Quote
mikebass84 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Umm.... What is it? Is it good for metal? Quote
fuzzonaut Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Oh my ... this isn't a joke. How much is it hand painted? Quote
ras52 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015
Umm.... What is it? Is it good for metal?
It IS metal... but does that make is GOOD for metal? Quote
Musky Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) So... who's going to reverse engineer this? Gut shots anyone? I might have a go myself, should be able to knock out a clone for... ooh, say £150. Who's in? Edited January 23, 2015 by Musky Quote
Kev Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015
Speechless.
Okay, just about recovered enough to speak... ...What in the world! It is a piece of metal! And not even a particularly useful piece of metal looking at it. The way I look at it, there are many die hard Zvex fans out there, and the CEO is shamelessly exploiting that fact. I thought the Woolly Mammoth was a ridiculously overpriced pedal given its simplicity and the ease of cloning it, now that looks a complete bargain.... Quote
SingleMalt Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I wonder if it comes with a bottle of the glue they have been huffing? Quote

fretmeister Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 The best thing about Zvex is that they make great pedals that are easy to clone and put in a far more sensible shape enclosure. I have a clone of the Fuzz Factory that I A/B tested with a real one. Can't tell the difference at all. It was half the price and is in a standard shape box. Quote
