YehItsRyan
I am thinking on starting a homebuild project, it would be the first one I have undertaken. I think having the satisfaction of playing something that I've put together would top spending £300-£400 on a guitar. The main purpose of this thread is for me to get some ideas on pickup choices, where to get necks etc. So what I want achieve is a short scale but that has a vintage look to it but stands out from the crowd slightly. Does anyone know where I could try and source a decent short scale neck from at a reasonable price?
Born under a bad sign
came across this company when working in Shields last week. I don 't know anything about them but may be a handy resource if doing a self build http://www.chguitars.co.uk/ Good luck with the build, would be great if you could do a diary of the build for us to enjoy
Rumple
Are you looking for a Fender type short scale neck? if not & you are after something a tad more fitting to a hollow body bass like a violin bass www.brandoniguitars.co.uk have some necks, the web site is dated and pretty awful but you could call them to see what they have.
