BassVentura-FretDetective Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) Serial number: H 136987 07. German made Corvette $$, 3.9kg, swamp ash body, ovangkol neck, and has been my friend through many dangers. Comes with a few scratches and dinks - as most gigged Warwicks tend to (not from me I hasten to add, I've kept it in pretty good nick and lemon-oiled the neck whenever I changed the strings). Mainly just knocks on the body, and two scratches on the neck (near the 9th and 15th frets). Other than that, plays and sounds great with that ridiculous number of pickup combinations etc it has! Includes strap locks and ye olde Warwick soft-case. Edited May 30, 2015 by BassVentura-FretDetective
Evil Undead Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 Lovely bass but dude, that string spacing...
Tandro Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015
Lovely bass but dude, that string spacing...
hahaha...I was confused by that comment and only thought to look after seeing that quote, but nice bass man
BassVentura-FretDetective Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 Thanks, and yep I've been enjoying the crazy adjustable bridge...
BassVentura-FretDetective Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 Price drop and new pics added.
mcnach Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015
Lovely bass but dude, that string spacing...
indeed I used to have one of these in Nirvana Black... That's a lot of bass for not much money, considering! Surprised it's still here...
BassVentura-FretDetective Posted February 14, 2015 Author Posted February 14, 2015 Haha I have now evened out the spacing after all this attention!
BassVentura-FretDetective Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Bump - any bites for the ocean blue?
tobiewharton Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 I used to own one of these too. Amazing basses - massive output and really versatile. Great price for a quality instrument. GLWTS
big rob Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Mate if i had not just brought a $$ stingray i would have had this. good luck with your sale. You could try gumtree and the bassplayers market on facebook too.
BassVentura-FretDetective Posted February 20, 2015 Author Posted February 20, 2015 Thanks, and cheers for the tips too!
Damonjames Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 What is the neck thickness front to back at first feet on this?
big rob Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Cannot believe this is still here, yep a little battle scared but that's why its such a bargain. Someone just give this man the money, if you dont get on with it you could probably make money on it. Bass direct had one of these and wanted £1050 for it.
Machines Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I just bought a Corvette Pro about a week before this came up. I'd have preferred this but c'est la vie.
BassVentura-FretDetective Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 Thanks guys. I'm surprised it hasn't gone myself - Warwick's work the scarred-wood look quite well I feel...
doc40hz Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Why is this still here??? This is an amazing price for an amazing bass - these are £2000 new. I paid £800 for a second hand 5 string one a couple of years ago. It's a great bass. Corvettes depreciate a ridiculous amount.
