Mykesbass Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Picked up in a trade and I'm really not going to use it - an uncommon bass in an even less common 32.5" medium scale length. This is the very lightweight Yamaha RBX4 A2, complete with funky light up controls! In near immaculate condition - one tiny dink on upper back of the body. Cash sale or some pretty odd trades: Purple Chili PCB112NT cab All metal resonator guitar PA gear W.H.Y. Bass_Guardian Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 May be wrong but i'm sure it's passive. I had one and the battery was just for the lights?

ribbetingfrog Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I had a play on one of these in a music shop, really liked it. May be interested, Where are you based?
Truckstop Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 These are extremely lightweight. Surprisingly so! Great Yamaha construction and tonal quality too. If I needed a back up, I'd be all over this! GLWTS Truckstop
Davy Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Right bass but it's come along at the wrong time!

ribbetingfrog Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 About as far away from me as it get's! I'm up in Manchester. Bit too far to pop over.

pete.young Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The medium scale version has been discontinued http://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/el-basses/rbxa2/?mode=series#tab=product_lineup&list=within&mode=paging
iconic Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 (edited) I've a RBX4 A2 full size and it's THE one bass I'll never part with, everything from Stingray's and Fender's have come and gone...super light, sustain for ever wonderful neck and build and apart from that I love the looks and being the shallow sort I like LED lights! those medium scales are rare as hen's teeth on this side of the pond, and not too many in US where A2's were more numerous. Good luck with the sale. PS this is the usual video that comes out when an A2 turns up for sale http://youtu.be/47tKorh9vgo Edited January 23, 2015 by iconic
mybass Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I've played this particular bass..... Measured at 32.5" scale, easy playing action, it recorded really well, the lights work. nice condition and lightweight on the shoulder.
